Some Game Trainers are sometimes reported to be a Virus or Trojan, the most common is a keylogger called HotKeysHook or the file has been packed/protected with VMProtect or Themida and is recognized as Win32/Packed.VMProtect or Win32/Packed.Themida. I tried both, launching the game using directly medieval2.exe and through steam, I also tried to launch the expansions through steam. I will apreciate any little help you can give me guys.

The last problem I can recall was when playing with Europa Barbarorum II, when that silly sound drivers problem happened, If I remeber correctly that was the last time I played Medieval II, that was a long time ago I suppose. I´ve played different mods, SS, Third Age, Europa Barbarorum II and always worked perfectly. As I said in my last post, both versions disc and Steam worked in the past. Something to do with the windows registry maybe?.
I installed it yesterday and gave me the same log error. Steam is installed on a separate SSD drive, maybe it could cause problems?Īlso and this is my last hope to discover what it is, I also own the disc version of Medieval II Total war Gold Edition. All important Windows updates installed. I have latest NVIDIA graphics drivers and Realtek HD sound drivers. Launch as administrator / windows xp compatibility mode. Unfortunatelly the restart didn´t fixed it for me.
